Magazine cover

Don't judge a book by its cover, they say but what makes a good magazine cover?

The basis of most magazine covers is going to be either a photograph or an illustration. Either way, appealing images tend to have a good amount of contrast between light and dark regions. Obviously, for text to be readable, it must be light and set against a dark background or vice versa.

In this particular case, I made a digital collage for different seasons of the year. Spring is presented through beautiful lotus birth, and hot summer is made to showcase heat of the summer months. Main focus was on the color palette, fonts and consistency.
