Cancer Can Take a Hike Branding, 2022

A special project I was honoured to be a part of, is an online community to connect those affected by cancer with each other and with the outdoors. Erin reached out to me and shared her story of creating this group in memory of her father. A simple message, that hiking or simply being outside in nature can heal and positively impact those facing cancer. The overall aesthetic has a retro old school parks vibe. The colour palette was an important choice as we didn’t want the logo to seem too vibrant or childlike, and therefore be insensitive to people facing cancer. I really wanted the logo to feel like the person was walking through the frame of the badge, showing movement and wellness. Also the placement on top of the mountain shows hope.
