The Drunken Botanist

The Drunken Botanist is a (now) famous bar and restaurant in Delhi NCR, eccentrically themed with foliage and fun at its conceptual center. The inspiration for the bar is a cocktail-recipe book by Amy Stewart.

The first step for us was naturally to create an origin story since we were anyway pushing the envelope of ‘quirk’. we decided to personify “The Drunken Botanist” as a loony, bumbling scientist and then we used him as an inspiration to create our visual identity, in a way extending his universe into canon. the design is fluid, organic, botany-inspired and in a sense, victorian – something we call ‘ivypunk’. the logo is a hand written font, and supporting branding is illustration heavy.
