COMELEC Voter's Portal
The run-up to the 2022 National Philippine elections was filled with several complaints about how manual the voter's registration process still was. Many Filipinos had to either take time off work to go to their local Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office or scour social media just to find out which numbers they could call to get their voter's status.
My goal with this project was to design a website that digitizes and automates essential COMELEC services, namely: 1) First-Time Voter's Registration, 2) Finding Out One's Voter's Status and Precinct, 3) Reactivating A Deactivated Status, and 4) Tracking One's Registration/Reactivation Application. As of the moment, Filipinos can only accomplish these tasks through email and phone.
Halfway through my design project, COMELEC did launch an online precinct finder, but this was only a few weeks before voting - so users could no longer reactivate themselves after finding out their status. I made sure that my proposed website leads users straight to the reactivation process should they find out that they have been deactivated.
The image above features a few sample screens of the project, along with the finalized UI. We will be user testing the website just to evaluate if I achieved my goals, so watch out for the results! 👀💫
