the design is upside down because the front part of the eye is curved, it bends the light, creating an upside-down image on the retina. the brain eventually turns the image the right way up. the retina is a complex part of the eye, and its job is to turn light into signals about images that the brain can understand. this design is meant to support blind people and 100% of the profits are donated to foundation fighting blindness.

the bubbles as the letter "I" represent "me, myself and i"; i wanted to be self-contained, singular, and real but all people see are different perspectives of myself. we look at these silvers of other people, these tiny threads of information, and use them to stitch those poeple together in our head, and we thick ourselves into thinking that this is the same as knowing them.

"i'm living in the same building as other people but we have different views, and i can't help that"- it terrifies me that maybe we are more the versions of us in other people's head than we are any intrinsic self; it terrifies me that many verions of me are swimming in the thoughts of others people, most of them don't really know me and no matter how close they are- i've noticed that! it makes me feel manufactured and intangible and one dimensional and crushingly alone.
