Drive Conference Logo Mark
Drive is a conference for church leaders hosted by North Point Ministries and typically takes place every two years. Despite different themes and design styles from conference to conference, Drive has had the same core mark for many years. The old mark resembled the gearshift of a manual transmission vehicle, and we felt it had lost its relevance to many viewers. So this year, I had the opportunity to create new mark.
We wanted a mark that attendees could more naturally connect to driving experience — something that might even feel at home in world of automotive brands.
While the icon is almost unmistakably a wheel, there are elements of its construction that speak to the conference experience. The five shapes in the center have the feeling of both coming together and moving outward, something that is fitting for a short gathering to share and learn.
Of its many applications, it was made into a neon sign, and that's always delightful.
