Red-Winged Blackbird

Inspired by color field painting, the spots in this watercolor print are an abstract expression of the red shoulder and yellow bar on the wing of a male red-winged blackbird. All water used in this painting was collected and distilled from Junction Creek.

The original piece was auctioned at Revive!, an event celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee and its environmental work.
