UNTITLED: A WORK IN PROGRESS©

A few years ago I came a cross this artwork done by @karborn. I decided to visited the work and study why I felt so attracted to it. I knew that I was originally attached to it due to color. The colors Red, Black, White, Tan and Grays have Been a color pallet that I have used for some time now for my own personal brand. On a deeper note with color; since child hood I have had this patter using   these set colors as well as in my environments in which I was placed in have surrounded me. You could say that I was born into this color pallet and realized  this when I took the time to visited my own psychological reasons and personal understanding about a year go.  I consider it perhaps to be my aura or ancestors battling off demos as I walk through life.

As I digged deeper into Karbons process it all made more sense  to me why I felt more of a relation to the work than just color. Taking elements from within your surroundings scanning them and letting work tell its own story. I felt attracted to the raw materials and reminded me of my difficult up bring as a child and the chaos in which I have found myself to be in.

This inspired me to create in and pushed me into a direction in which my inner self has been speaking to me about. If we were to put it under one word it would be “collage” in simpler terms. Creating this new series with fun, non clocked work, inviting the streets speak to me and letting the concept of what I’m saying reveals itself within the process.

I was brought up as a first generation Mexican- American to make the best of what you have. I may not have access to all the top of the line equipment like most of the creators out there but I will never let it stop me from what has been rooted in me. Here are some of the tools that I used to kick off this new series of work.
