Walkie - Pet Walker Finder

This is a case study for a pet walking app design I made just for fun πŸ˜„

Hope you'll enjoy it and will be happy to receive feedback!

Target Audience

The target audience in this case is basically everyone who has a dog / cat.

A few examples of potential users:

  • Brenda Haney - a 30-year-old mother of 2 that works on tech. The family has a cute little dog. Since Brenda is partially working from home, she needs a dog walker for only twice a week.

  • Glenn Michael - a 19-year-old college student, renting a house near school and he took the old family old dog with him for a semester. He needs someone to walk his dog in the mornings while he's on class.

  • Allison Harris - a 14-year-old middle schooler that has 2 Border Collies. She wants schedule a dog walker for her family's vacation week.

Onboarding

The purpose of the onboarding screens in this case is to show how easy it is to schedule a pet walker for their dog / cat. You setup your pet's profile, browse walkers and book them.

For the sign up form I chose to use a bottom sheet. I wanted to use a modal to get the user's attention for the actions that need to be done, so a bottom sheet felt mobile friendly.

Pet Profile Setup

In this flow the users need to share important info about their pet, such as: photo, name, breed, and additional notes.

After the initial details have been filled, they can select the walk type they want their pet to do and how long it should be.

Lastly, the users need to fill their address, so that the app will show them the relevant walkers.

The Walkers

This page is the first page the users see after finishing the setup flow. The users automatically see walkers who are near their address, and they can filter the results and can search for a specific walker.

On the walkers components I wanted to show a few main things: image, experience, reviews score and hourly rate.

When clicking on a specific walker, the user can see info and reviews about the walker, and book / share / chat with them if they like.

Booking The Walker

After the users choose their preferred walker, they can click on "book". After that, a bottom sheet will appear with short walker info, the specific walks the user inserted earlier (with an option to add or remove walks). Also this is the place to insert the payment details.

β€’ β€’ β€’

Tracker

While the walk's in progress, the users can see a map with the walker and their pet's live location, so they can just relax and know the walk is happening according to schedule.
