Enhancing Patient Care Through Telehealth
Integrated telehealth solutions to assist over-burdened providers
Healthcare communication tools weren’t designed to serve the industry's specific needs and were at best a poor substitute during the pandemic. Their continued use raised concerns about security and privacy, considering the confidentiality of patient-provider interactions.
Based on thorough research of the user needs and their environment, we at Koru UX designed a solution that integrated the EHR system with a telehealth platform. With more than 95% of hospitals in the United States using a certified EHR platform, our objective was to recreate a virtual visit to the clinic and deliver healthcare in a convenient, stable, secure, and timely manner.
Our telehealth integrated EHR solution enabled providers with the following -
View clinical documents and patient history with minimal clicks.
Reduce the cognitive burden of post-call documentation due to the AI-powered NLP simplifying accents and offering real-time translations.
Improved diagnosis and clinical decisions because of easy access to patient records.
Reduction in long hours spent on documentation and reducing the potential for error.
This project bagged us the prestigious iF Design Award in the User Interface category and the A’ Design Award in the User Interaction category.
Pre-consultation notification
The provider receives a notification for the upcoming appointment well in time along with the patient’s details.
Patient info page with requisite details
In the pre-consultation stage, all of the patient’s details are available at a single glance, aiding the provider in prepping for the call.
Real-time transcription and translation using NLP
The real-time translations and transcriptions of the conversation enable the provider to concentrate on the conversation and not be distracted. Plus, the AI assistant proffers relevant reports so that the provider does not have to pause the conversation to do it.
Simplified access to post-consultation details
The transcript is recorded and translated in real-time by the built-in NLP. Structured notes are extracted from the call to make the documentation simple, thus not having the provider rely on memory.
Call summary and details for error-free documentation
Once the consultation is over, its summary and video recording are made available for the provider to review, if required.
