GoDaddy AAPI Illustrations
AAPI Illustration Set
The team at GoDaddy asked me to create an illustration set for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, so I decided to create one filled with everything that made me proud of my heritage.
Sketches
I typically keep things analog in the beginning, starting with really loose gestural sketches in my sketchbook, which are then traced over and refined with tracing paper.
Vectors
Using my sketches as a guideline, I primarily use the pen tool in Illustrator to create all of the vector artwork.
Shading
After the vector shapes are completed, I'll export the artwork into Photoshop in separate layers and use a texture brush to apply the textures with clipping masks.
