Illustration for Lunitsa Apparel: Rozdanice
Graphic illustration for an apparel & accessories brand that draws inspiration from Slavic culture and mythology, on a mission to preserve this rich heritage from the sands of time.
Rozhanitsy/Rođenice/Роожаницы/Rodzanice are the Slavic equivalent of the Greek Moirai, Roman Parcae, and German Nornir.
In mythology, these time & fate deities, goddesses, determine human destinies, the span of their lives, and the allotment of misery and suffering in them through weaving and spinning yarn.
Described as tall and transparent, with pale cheeks and sparkling eyes that charm people, they are usually mentioned as three together, of which one is a "queen".
