Plenty of consultants and businesses almost fall headfirst into their niche. They see a gap in the market and go for it. Getting up and running becomes like a race against shadow competitors that may also have the same once-in-a-lifetime idea.
This approach usually leaves most of the “finishing touches” to figure out later.
Eventually, the backlog of small tweaks and improvements evolves into a stack of technical debt that can act as a hurdle to growing as a brand.
This is Complyant’s story. They created a great product that solved a tangible need for tons of small businesses. The journey to creating the product was iterative but largely driven by developers and accounting specialists. As a result, the UX/UI of the app was inconsistent and full of work arounds.
They originally approached us for help cleaning up their SaaS platform’s UI but we quickly realised we could bring evenmore value by reworking the user experience.
The result was a consistent brand across website and application. The unintuitive work arounds were transformed into deliberate features.
Complyant was recently featured on ProductHunt, and the design has received more than a few internal high-fives!
