UNBOXED - Creativity In The UK
UNBOXED is a year-long series of events celebrating creativity all around the UK - their website needed to be inspiring, surprising, flexible and accessible, as the target audience was over 60 million people from all walks of life. I tried to create something that presented the user with a challenging yet rewarding experience, common UI constructs were intentionally reworked to add an element of surprise and (hopefully) delight while the playful motion language tried to evoke a sense of action and 'doing' - as this is a year-long series of events, I wanted the website to feel alive. I can say with confidence that this is probably not what most users would expect from a government-funded arts event website. Check out the live site here.
