Oh My Cron! Poster Design

The goals of this project were to provide a lighthearted, visual expression of frustration revolving around the continuation of the global pandemic. The poster attempts to communicate themes of being overwhelmed, feeling helpless, and an inability to escape the inevitability of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The image shows this by depicting the virus as a larger-than-life presence, seemingly taking a bite out of the world. Color places emphasis on certain areas of the design to further illustrate meaning. The title of the piece appears somewhat urgent at the top of the design, and is a pun meant to add a bit of fun to a serious and somewhat divisive topic.

This design addresses a divisive social issue. By using rather neutral imagery – the virus as a villain and the planet as its victim – I have attempted to shed light on one unifying message, we all hate this no matter our perspective.
