a Symbol for «Design»

So... it's "Designer's Day" in Brazil, and I was getting pissed about designers using thick-rimmed glasses and coffee as a way to symbolize our field.

Instead of ranting on how wrong it is for us designer to use coffee as a symbol to represent ourselves, I've decided to try to come up with a better symbol.

The solution I found was the Linen Tester:
It's an uncommon object that is commonly-used amongst designers. It gives a message of «attention to detail», something very appreciated in our field. And finally, It looks nice.

What do you think about it? Share your thoughts :-)
