Case Study - Local & Street Food Posters

"I'm not taking a picture. I'm capturing a magical moment and interaction."

Background

This is an exploration project. I have a lot of pictures of local & street food in my phone gallery. I want to document them. A blog is good, but I want something different, and then when I browse some inspirations, I have found an interesting poster, and that is the moment I decide to convert the photos into the poster.

1. Font Selection

Since the function of the poster is about communication and telling something, using good font will give a big impact on the final result. As for the fonts, I want something modern, clean, and unique.

2. The Elements

In my opinion, Photos and text are great combinations, but adding some elements will create a wow effect. Elements or ornaments are little things that make a big difference.

3. Photo Ambience

When I put the photo into the poster I felt that the ambiance did not match. After some exploration finally, I found a solution. Using layer blending to give a dramatic atmosphere and at the same time keep the consistency for other photos.

4. The Result

Here is the result, maybe someday I can hold a poster exhibition for local & street food and there will be a QR code on each poster so the visitors can scan and get the directions via Google Maps.

"Thanks for visiting and reading my first case study, and thanks for dribbble for creating this awesome feature!"
