Interview

Algolia sometimes hosts recorded video sessions with digital experts, and needed to refresh the illustration. I naturally went for a basic interview setup with vintage microphones, quite detailed and realistic so I could keep the scene both minimalist and evocative enough. The challenge was modeling the mic itself, starting with booleans but then applying a proper retopology to avoid artifacts from the subdivision modifier that smooths the curves.
