MacDown Document Icon

As I recently redesigned the preferences icons for MacDown, I'm dedicated to redesign more elements of the app. So the most noticed thing is the document icon. The current icon is pretty basic and unrecognizable. So I thought it would be great to have an icon that you can fast recognize, even if its just 16x16 pixels big.

With this goal I came up to use the app icon colors. They are bright and good to see in the Finder.

Next I thought if a more traditional icon or a modern icon is the best.
These are the two version you can see in the shot.

The left one is more traditional, with a page curl and the Markdown Logo on it.
The right one is more modern in my mind. It's clean and minimal. Just the brand colors and the simplified Markdown logo. Okaaay you got me, there is also the light shadow thingy of the logo in the background.

Anyway, what do you like more?
Left or right? Or is it (hopefully not) total crap?

Just comment your thoughts. Thanks!

Edit: I've attached the tiny 16px versions of these two icons. Just take a look ;)

Edit 2: The developer released the newest Update v0.3 including the right version (without the light shadow thingy).
