Luck, at least to me, is anything that helps your cause that you couldn't have predicted happening and can’t repeat. For that reason, I think luck gets somewhat of a bad rap these days.

I often prefer to have work ethic and consistency be the pillars on which successful things are built. That way, I can control the outcome. But luck doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Luck doesn't have to be the antithesis to being successful. To me, luck is becoming a necessary ingredient. I think we could all use some freebies. Working hard is completely necessary, but so is being a little lucky.
