Design Principles Animation — Hierarchy

I created a series of slides featuring graphic representations of the six primary design principles: Alignment, Balance, Contracts, Hierarchy, Repetition and White Space.

The graphical representations of each principle were designed in a 'Thick Lines' style that can be easily translated into physical media, such as postcards and posters.

Hierarchy arranges the elements of a design in order to convert the intended message as simply as possible. It allows a viewer to easily discern what is being communicated by allowing the most important details to stand out first. Poor use of hierarchy will result in the viewer not being able to discern where the intended message lies.
