Recylo - Direction & AR View
In May of last year, I along with my team began thinking about how we could solve Karachi's litter problem with the help of technology, and we came up with Recylo.
My previous shot was just a sneak peak of what I created so far! Now, I will be sharing some of the few features of that application. We chose to utilize a similar design to make it easy for our users to find bins and dispose of their trash, as many of us use Google Maps on a daily basis.
Locating bins has never been so easy in Pakistan. There are even some places where the dustbins are placed quite far away from the residents and then what happens is they end up throwing by the streets. In Recylo app, with bins on-screen, finding the recycle bins is a breeze. Users are guided to the nearest bin using Augmented Reality technology in real-time using the shortest pathways feasible after picking the nearest bin.
After selecting the nearest recycle-bin and reaching to the destination, users are easily able to scan the bin and pair it with their device - and then dispose accordingly.
