‘Jchilling’ letter parade animation

2021 was a long year – so it was fine by us that the end-of-year parties at Zajno went on for a while too. But now we’ve put ourselves together again and it’s time to do some work!

Getting back into daily life can be a grind, so we decided to inject some fun into our re-emerging routines with an off-kilter animation: a ‘letter parade’ that shreds the whole idea of seriousness.  

I drew the concept via Procreate and worked in Rough Animator to combine the line graphics and lined letter figures. The smoke from the joint at the end lets off a whiff of 4/20 meltdown – which is just one way to put your phone away and forget the hard times going on around us!
