iPhone 6 Back Redesign

Ever since the leaked design, those antenna bands on the back of the iPhone 6 have annoyed the hell out of me! It made the aluminum in-between the bands look like they were just stickers, in my opinion. I found it hard to believe that Apple would allow such an aesthetic be shipped... Until the leaks proved to be true.

Now, I like the iPhone 6 and will be upgrading to it from my 4s (big jump!). I can live with the look of the antenna bands, but still wondered if there could have been a potentially better balance of function and design for them. And so, doodled some variations and this concept was the one I felt that I most balanced between aesthetics and function. While it was as simple as filling the area in-between the bands with the same outer material of the bands, I feel it successfully gives that simple, smooth touch to the device's design while also paying homage to the designs before it.
