Innovate – Think-Tank Logo Design

Innovate is an identity designed for a class project. We were tasked with choosing a think-tank that already exists and redesigning their mark based on their mission. The think-tank I chose happened to be the African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS). There were many initial comps (attached) that had to be weeded out until I arrived at this one. The rationale behind this design takes the physical weaving aspect of African textiles and transfers that idea over to the culture and technology weaving together to create and stimulate growth.
