Ditliv character mascot proposal

Campaign mascot and title typography design proposal for a Kræftens Bekæmpelse campaign named Ditliv. The idea was to create a character that did not represent grief, but rather acted as a "fatherly figure". I used my father in-law as inspiration for the way that I rendered the character.
Regretfully my proposal was not chosen :(
