The Project: Optimized presentation template system & assets library for Plume
Plume's marketing team wanted to offer their organization tools to build and customize presentation decks while maintaining Plume's brand integrity.
There were three main goals for the project:
1. Create a beautifully designed template system that utilizes the Plume brand for their three main audiences.
2. The system should limit the need for design support to save on time.
3. The file size needs to be as small as possible so the decks can be emailed—25MB or less. (For reference, the existing Plume deck template was over 100MBs.)
Plume's two main audiences are Business to Business (B2B) and Direct to Consumer (D2C). Their D2C side has two sub audiences—HomePass (home consumers) and WorkPass (small to medium size business consumers). A template was required for all three audiences that utilized their own unique part of the Plume brand. Each also needed an accompanying asset library with graphics and visuals (icons, app screens, infographics, photography, brand elements, etc) to build custom decks with.
Pono created three presentation templates, one for each audience, along with three asset decks full of engaging and relevant visuals. Each template ended up with 40-50 pages of pre-designed options with 25-40 master slide options. Each asset library deck had up to 40 pages of visuals to choose from, and every asset was optimized to keep the file size down. The final size for each template was well under 25MB.
To support the Plume organization further, Pono recorded a walk through of the template system to use as a reference guide on using these new assets.
