Minneapolis Landmark Map Illustration

My brother and his fiancé hired me to create a map of Minneapolis as a guide of popular landmarks that their wedding guests could visit while they're in town. The map would serve as an insert to their invitations with a welcome message and directions to the venue. Being from Minnesota, I really enjoyed going back and researching which sites to include, studying all the imagery, and coming up with the illustration style. I wanted to create an inviting, whimsical style that both went with the invitations and also gave the guests the feeling that they were getting recommendations for the true Minneapolis experience.
