Flames of Sorrow

I did this painting with a heavy heart, remembering all Afghan women in these dark days; the days when the embodiment of barbarism has manifested itself once again in order to bring shame upon the human decency — to deride the very essence of human life. I deeply believe that no one shall fairly understand the Afghan women's pain and sufferings, except the Middle Eastern women, who are weary of being the constant objects of the tragedy of existence.
