Kyoto App Concept

After visiting the beautiful former capital of Japan, I had the idea for an app based entirely on a city. Kyoto is a wonderful example of a city attempting to embrace modernity while showcasing its ancient landmarks. This however can make traveling across the city and locating certain places difficult at times, so I had the idea for the Kyoto app. The app design is inspired by the city's famous orange gates at the Fushimi Inari-Taisha shrine, and the Japanese word for Japan, as the two Kanji characters which make up the name are placed on top of each other, making a hybrid character, with the orange "gate" highlighted.
