Responsive Podcast App Concept - Designcast
Our research confirmed that podcast consumption is an experience that is largely done on-the-go. So for the responsive version of our podcast app concept, we dived deeper into refining the UX. Upon opening the app the user is given just 2 quick choices: Either pick from a handful of highly personalized recommendations or continue listening an unfinished episode. The bigger thumbnails and the personalized recommendations on the home screen allows the user to jump back into an episode instantly upon opening the app.
We've also deliberately used more of white in this design to balance out the heavier thumbnails in the app. This combination of bigger episode thumbnails combined with ample white space ensures that the app looks light despite the heavier 3D illustrations. The subtle purple accents brings that additional pop to the design.
