The Covid-Clinical Neuroscience Study
This is a UK-Wide study of the effects of COVID-19 on the brain in patients.
Does the virus get in the brain? Do immune markers (like antibodies) attack the brain? Do those patients with on-going brain impairments have raised markers of brain injury in their blood? Ultimately we want to understand how the virus drives acute brain damage/dysfunction and the long-term neurological, neuropsychiatric and cognitive impacts of this.
