Grace Hopper

Some of you might be aware that I run a limited colour palette challenge in July, named Huely (because Colour = Hue and that it's held in July) Where I use a maximum of 5 colours (+ black and white) to paint my images.
For the first colour palette I decided to do a set of portraits of Women in STEM. While there might not have been many prominent female computer scientists, mathematicians and software engineers early on, they were around.

Grace Hopper was a computer scientist and Rear Admiral of the US Navy. She was a pioneer of computer programming and was the first to device the theory of machine-independent programming languages, which led to the creation of COBOL.
