Beyond Diversity

When Barna commissioned OX to create the cover for Beyond Diversity, a keystone report on the complex findings of race in America, we wanted the cover itself to convey the rich cultural heritage of people across various racial and
ethnic groups.

To accomplish this, we chose to collaborate with Ricky Linn, an illustrator known for his experiments with mixing found imagery and digital painting. The iterations of Ricky’s designs show the process we took to land on a gorgeous, hand-drawn illustration that’s every bit as nuanced and complex as the findings of this report.
