Umm Kulthum

I grew up hearing my dad sing along to his Umm Kulthum tapes and I fell in love with her voice way back then. She is the most beloved Egyptian singer, with an amazing voice and incredible life story! My dad emigrated from Jordan so I would hear lots of Arabic music playing in the house as I was growing up, but her voice... Her's was the best! This is an illustration paying homage to her, with her mouth represented by "music" in Arabic (al musiqqa at the top is the phonetic pronunciation).
