A-Level Wildlife Sanctuary Website
As part of my A-Level coursework, I was tasked to create a website of my choice. With having a passion for animals, I created a Wildlife Sanctuary website, following on from my GCSE Vets website. A google search box was also included within the header to allow the user to search from the site along with a collage of they kind of animals which the sanctuary cater for and the company logo. In the footer, a newsletter subscription box was added to allow the user to get daily newsletter about the Sanctuary. Along with this, hyperlinks were used for social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Twitter to allow the user to follow the company and see daily updates, tasks and events. The home page consisted of information about the company, about the staff and two slideshows. Onc which was about any offers occurring and promotions and the other showcasing some of what the user will experience while visiting the sanctuary. Our Animals page gives a showcase of the type of animals that you would expect to see at the sanctuary along with the intention to link to information about each type of animal along with images if it was to be further developed. Get involved highlights to the user about adopting an animal of their choice and about the different levels of membership which is offered. Details of what is included within each type of membership and terms and conditions is supplied also. Prices and Tickets is typical of what you would expect on a website. The different types of admissions, prices, offers for group bookings and any relevant information which would be helpful to the user is included within. Plan Your Day showcases to the user what kind of activities are offered and and what times, helping the user to plan their day at the Sanctuary. It also gives information about the facilities which are on site such as photo opportunities, gift shop, vending machines, free Wi-Fi and more. Finally, the Contact Us page gives the user information about the opening hours, last admission times and terms of entry. There is also a short form to allow for the user to contact the Wildlife Sanctuary The logo for the site was created within LogoMaker, collage of animals made on Fireworks along with other aspects of the website and the site itself was created on Dreamweaver.
