App Icon (Hair & Beauty Salon)

Just finished my 5th design for #dailyui #005

Design Hint...

Design an app icon. What best represents the brand or product? Or is it incredibly unique? Does it look great at a distance and does it stand out when put on your home screen alongside other apps?

Super happy with this design challenge! Creating an app icon for Chatters Hair & Beauty Salon (www.chatters.ca) brought my creativity to the next level!

Challenges:
1. There weren't a lot of Hair and Beauty Salon Apps available to compare and find inspiration.
2. Color ; this was a tough one - it was a battle of, "should I keep it to the current black and white, or give some color in it??". I went with the color!! Why, "Style HAPPY" - the word "happy" just says it all!
3. App Design - ahhhh! I wanted to make this app icon into a Big Sur (3D https://dribbble.com/stories/2020/07/17/famous-app-icons-in-3d) app icon compatibility! I searched, and searched for a proper tutorial for it, but I failed :( It's okay though, I will keep working on this! I'm super intrigue how it is made.

Wins:
1. App Size - I learned that as phones, tablets and computers evolve, an app's design usability evolve as well. It's really insane how much interfaces have changed over the years
2. Figma Effects - OMG, this is life changing! Who would have known there's different effects you can put your design through to make it unique! I am sure many other designers have been expose to this, but this is all new to me... and I looove it!
3. I MADE MY FIRST APP ICON!!! Thanks Chatters, for letting me use your company :)
