Emmanuel Rebrand
I recently created a refreshed brand for an 87-year-old neighborhood church in Boston. While the church is heavily older in demographic and more traditional, the pastor wanted to invest in the younger generations and update the graphics and website, making it easy to learn about the church next door.
There were 3 driving forces in the rebrand:
1) "Honor the past, look to the future."
2) The pastor wanted the logo to be a letter icon
3) They wanted new visitors to feel safe as they explored the church.
With these ideas, I created an "e" logo with hints of a compass, nodding to new people finding the church in a shifting neighborhood and exploring the church to see if it's a fit.
