the stem is the entire platform - it is a token, set of smart contracts, and UI library/api's/sdks to make it easy for third parties to integrate it into XR (Any reality / Any Environment-web, mobile, AR, VR, holographic, etc). It is not a blockchain itself, it is a smart contract layer on top of any blockchain

stem's token is used within the ecosystem for different features, rewards, incentives, staking, voting/governance, etc
