Readability at the core
The key component of an online magazine is the article. As the research has shown, the vast majority of site visitors come looking for unique and up-to-date content, which is always about the articles.
We’ve worked on the basic typographic elements like font sizes, line spacing, and box spacing. We also created separate accent blocks in case our authors might need to highlight a quote, an example, or summarize their article.
Articles can be quite long, with a complex structure, so we decided to add an automatically generated article contents list. The last point of this list is the link to the section where we collect all the legislative acts and document templates that are mentioned in the article.
These articles usually serve as a guide for some work routine tasks: users often return to them, so any article can be bookmarked to quickly find it again. Articles are complex and multifaceted, so users can add comments and save quotes, which are visible inside their reading list.
Special kudos to Eugene Klochkov who did great on the UI side of this project.
