UI Screens Preview 2 | Voter Buddy App

Creating the UI Design + Visual Assets for an app prototype called Voter Buddy, an anonymous and chat-based app that fosters open and inclusive discussion in order for first-time voters to get acclimated to political discussion and ultimately make informed decisions. Through user research and interviews, we found that many teens receive a poor political and voting education. Many first-time voters experience barriers to voting that stem from a lack of voting education that involves them directly. With apps like Headspace in mind, the visual identity was built to be welcoming and inclusive while still keeping elements of American political motifs.

This set of screens showcases the message capabilities we designed in which the user chooses from a list of their anonymous Voter Buddies and the next discussion topics. The tabs allow the user to switch quickly between actionable items while keeping the feed uncluttered.
