Saucy Slices

I am working on a logo for a pizza company called "Saucy Slices". I was struggling, trying to sketch the word "saucy" into looking as though it was sauce, poured by a ladle, but was disappointed with my attempts. That's when the idea of doing a more vintage-inspired, flourish type of look came to mind and I'm feeling much more confident because of it. This is my first attempt at this style, so any critiques are appreciated. :) I can't wait to render this and share.
