Drunken Rewind

I am teaming up with Drunken Rewind to host an artist contest with cash prizes and more. Drunken Rewind is a show featuring the main character, Doug, who gets into some sticky situations because of his poor drinking habits. To enter our contest, create a piece of artwork showing your own version of Doug, the main character from Drunken Rewind. Submissions due by April 30th, 2021. Winners announced May 5th on the @DrunkenRewind Instagram account.

My piece is titled “Boat Safety” with a focus on a critical issue we come across on the water. I think the words of the U.S. Coast Guard say it well. “Alcohol continued to be the leading known contributing factor in fatal boating accidents in 2019, accounting for over 100 deaths, or 23 percent of total fatalities. The fatality rate was 5.2 deaths per 100,000 registered recreational vessels, which tied as the second lowest rate in the program's history.”
