Starfish

Today I decided to go for a simpler design - just a starfish.

For the next few days I want to do a series of sea creatures. So expect to see fish, mollusks, sharks, whales, other things... I'm not actually sure what I'm going to do yet. But they will be sea creatures!

I based my design today on the Red Tile Starfish (Fromia Monilis). I love the pattern on the surface of the starfish, and wanted to make it myself. The most difficult of this design was giving it dimension - which I ultimately accomplished by adding shadows!
