Segment — App Redesign
👋 Hello everyone!
It's good to be back! 🥰 Especially when I can present to you the result of months of work on the Segment’s super-duper product! Ladies and gentlemen, let’s take a glance at the new, crisp design that the best world-class customer data platform deserved.
What was the challenge? Segment App is a very technical and complex tool that could overwhelm the user. Our goal was to create the visual layer of the product from scratch so that the user workflow would become simple and intuitive. Additionally, the old UI felt detached from the new Segment’s branding. That’s why along with providing better functionality, an essential aspect for us was to create a consistent experience whether you’re signing up for the newsletter or opening the application.
Meet our solution Working in a small dynamic team focused exclusively on Evergreen, we have created a design system based entirely on atomic design. Transparent cooperation and the speed of discussions on several solutions allowed us to maintain consistency and pixel perfect design throughout the library. Based on it, we have designed an application that we can finally see live on segment.com
