Naideia - Linked EP
For this release I wanted the cover art to visualize the idea of being linked. I commissioned Tuomo Korhonen to create a 3D image that illustrated this idea, without many limitations on the final form. He came back with an image of two figures conjoined at the head, a surrealist interpretation of the concept that I really enjoyed. I took the render Tuomo provided and laid it out with the other elements I had created, including some Japanese text I had professionally translated.
繋がった translates to "connected". Consistent with the futuristic themes in the music, I imagined a future where the distinction between East and West is increasingly blurred and we see kanji and other Eastern written language alongside English characters more regularly.
Perhaps we will better respect the interconnectedness of human societies in the future.
