Book Cover Design and Illustration

My illustration and design for this cover was inspired by the metamorphoses stories in this short story collection presented by Karen Russell and Austin Bat Cave. The boy transforming into a cloud and the view through the windowpane give a far away, ethereal quality along with the airy, simple color palette of whites and blues with a yellow accent.
