Bharatha, the younger brother of Lord Rama was tormented with grief and knew not how to sustain the burden of separating from his beloved brother and to rule the kingdom without Rama’s proximity. He could only find relief by holding on to the wooden sandals of his brother, the unparalleled Rama.
