JSConf Asia DevFest Currency 5 Brackets

JS Conf Asia, DevFest Currency (5 Brackets)

I designed this currency for Southeast Asia's largest and oldest Javascript conference (www.JSConf.asia) in 2018.

I first researched on currency design around the world. Most of them were intricate and had watermarks to prevent forging.

Since it's a Javascript developer conference, I made use of brackets { }, and binary numbers (1's and 0's) as design elements, and played around with them to intricate patterns.

Pop culture suggests that most developers love coffee and pizzas. I played with the JS logo and CSS logo and placed them in a cup of coffee and a pizza box.

I used DevFest's (JSConf and CSSConf) brand colours and chosen logo for the year (the hand-drawn crest). PayPal and Braintree were sponsors, so it was imperative their logo stood out in high visibility.
