Brand Identity Drill:
Morbillo Custom Carpentry
Logo Revision Exploration.
Note - The company has not requested any work done on their logo. This one was totally just for fun.
Driving to and from my day job I am always on the lookout for the local business identities. As any creative and passionate Identity Designer would do; I find myself tinkering with how it may look if my company was commissioned for the work.
After a quick dig into the internet and social media, we got a good feel of what attributes we could highlight with our Brand Identity Drill (BID).
This is a father and son family run business since the 1980s and through their work, it’s clear that they have evolved their style along with experience. We wanted to capture the clean and tastefully modern execution of their finished construction.
The icon points to the joining of minds around the family's initial "M". This represents the father and son business partners. The half circles also double as a forward and backward pair of "C’s” creating a monogram of the company name.
The wordmark brings home a sense of refined minimalism, to showcase that seasoned experience developed over decades.
These Brand Identity Drills are down and dirty, and quickly executed to get the ideas out of the creative dirt and onto paper and/or file. It is a multi-faceted exercise.
